If no generated password works, try this key combination:
Boot the laptop. At the password prompt, write down: dell bios 8fc8 password
Dell support will give you the master password for free. Fact: Dell will only provide a master password if you have proof of purchase AND a valid warranty. For second-hand laptops, they refuse. If no generated password works, try this key
