In scratch DJing, the “transform” and “echo fade” are classic techniques. The Echo Doppler automates the manual fader movement and pitch change of a vinyl record being slowed down. A DJ can emulate the sound of a record stopping (the “brake” effect) by setting pitch depth to -24 semitones and feedback to 0%, creating a single downward-spiraling repeat.
