: By moving temporary folders (like browser caches or Windows TEMP files) to the RAM disk, you reduce the number of write cycles to your SSD, potentially extending its lifespan. Performance Comparisons

RAMDISK technology involves creating a disk drive from a portion of a computer's main memory (RAM). Unlike traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs), a RAMDISK offers significantly faster read and write speeds since it is not constrained by the mechanical limitations of HDDs or the electrical limitations of SSDs. This results in enhanced system performance, reduced latency, and increased throughput, making it particularly beneficial for applications requiring high-speed data access.

In the context of system utilities, RamDisks are used to simulate a hard drive entirely in memory. Because RAM has significantly faster read/write speeds and access times compared to even the fastest SSDs or NVMe drives, QSoft RamDisk is typically used to accelerate disk-bound applications or secure sensitive data.
