In a brilliant psychological twist, Aditya does not try to exorcise her with holy water. Instead, he uses "psychodrama." He pretends to be possessed by the spirit of King Mahendra and engages Manjulika in a final dance. By accepting her pain and allowing her to "kill" his persona (symbolically destroying the King), he allows Avni’s fractured mind to find closure.

The franchise began in 2007 and has since grown into a multi-generational phenomenon:

Strange events begin to occur almost immediately. Avni becomes fascinated by the legend of Manjulika and the former King, Mahendra. She unlocks a forbidden room on the third floor, which was sealed to trap Manjulika’s spirit. This act triggers a series of paranormal disturbances: doors slam, shadows move, and the sound of a ghungroo (ankle bells) is heard.
