The panels slowly melted during gallery hours, symbolizing the tension between preservation and decay. Viewers could write personal memories on the glass with water‑based ink, which later became part of the melting process.

Xenia was born and raised in Latvia, a background that subtly informs her aesthetic. Growing up in a post-Soviet environment, she has often spoken about how resources were sometimes limited, fostering a culture of thrifting, re-wearing, and creativity over consumption.
