What is SimMon

Bring the patient to life — one tap at a time.

As your learners attach monitoring equipment, you bring the patient to life one tap at a time. Type in a new heart rate, a dropping SAT, a rising pressure — whatever the scenario calls for. Scrub values up or down, or enter them directly. The monitor updates instantly. Run scenarios on site, in the classroom, or in the back of a truck — not just in a simulation centre.

Goes Anywhere

Run scenarios on site, in a classroom, bedside, or on the road. SimMon connects over Bluetooth or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi — no infrastructure Wi-Fi, no simulation centre required.

Open. Connect. Simulate.

No complicated setup. Open SimMon on two devices, tap Use as Remote Control, and you're running. Your decisions as instructor are exactly what students see — instantly.

Presets & Scripts

Save your scenario vitals as presets so you're not dialling in values every time. Organize them into scripts and run through a scenario step by step — right from the remote.

One-Time Payment

No subscriptions. No ads. No affiliate marketers. SimMon is a paid app — buy it once, use it on all your devices. Simple pricing for a simple tool.

This is an amazing piece of software, it allowed me to do simulation for my residents without the high-fidelity mannequins. I loved the ease of using my iPhone as a Bluetooth remote!

I teach medical simulation every week. SimMon is perfect — it adds realism to training without all the high-fidelity expensive kit. We use it on Resuscitation Council (UK) courses and ALERT courses regularly.

Literature often looks back to , which established the "Oedipus complex"—a concept later popularized by Freud to describe a son’s unconscious attachment to his mother [4, 5]. This foundation heavily influences modern psychological dramas where the relationship becomes a "gilded cage." Themes of Sacrifice and Resilience

Ethnic and immigrant literature complicates this further. In Amy Tan’s The Joy Luck Club (1989) and its film adaptation, the mothers are Chinese-born survivors of trauma, and their sons (often secondary characters) receive a different inheritance: the silent expectation of filial piety mixed with the bafflement of American masculinity. Similarly, in the films of Satyajit Ray, particularly The Apu Trilogy (1955-1959), the mother Sarbojaya is the emotional anchor in a world of poverty and change. When Apu leaves for the city, the film lingers on her silent grief—a grief that is not resentful but resigned, a universal ache of the mother who knows her son must grow away from her.

Cinema’s Terrible Mother reached its gothic peak in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960). Though is literally a corpse, her psychological dominion is absolute. The film taps into a primal fear: that a mother’s love can become a prison, her voice internalized so deeply that it destroys the son’s very self. Norman’s famous line, “A boy’s best friend is his mother,” is delivered with a chilling double meaning—both a plea for sympathy and a confession of horror. --TOP-- Free Download Video 3gp Japanese Mom Son - Temp

The relationship between a mother and her son is one of the most enduring and psychologically fraught subjects in the history of storytelling. From the tragic inevitability of Greek myths to the visceral grit of modern cinema, this bond is often portrayed as a delicate balance between fierce, life-sustaining protection and a suffocating control that must be broken for the son to truly become a man.

As cinema matured, particularly in the mid-20th century, it adapted these literary archetypes for the screen, often amplifying the psychological danger. The film noir genre of the 1940s and 50s utilized the mother-son dynamic to explore anxieties about masculinity.
