The world-building is introduced with a sledgehammer. Gags come every ten seconds: a whale news anchor, a cow waitress serving steak (who nervously admits she "knows the family"), a pink spotted pelican paparazzo, and Bojack’s slacker roommate, Todd (Aaron Paul), who lives in his couch. The humor is dense, pun-driven, and often juvenile.
