This paper develops a categorical index of recurring motifs, character actions, and spatial dynamics in Bodyguard (2011). Rather than a traditional review, it treats the film as a dataset. The index tracks three axes: (1) (bodyguard duties), (2) Surveillance sequences (following, spying), and (3) Emotional contradictions (verbal denial vs. physical closeness). Using this index, the paper argues that the film’s apparent formulaic romance hides a deeper tension between gendered power and vulnerability. The index reveals how the “bodyguard” role shifts from professional duty to personal obsession. Findings suggest that the film’s most famous song (“Teri Meri”) operates as a narrative turning point — not just emotionally, but structurally, altering the frequency of surveillance acts.
